The Neighbourhood - Planet | Music Video of the Week
The Neighbourhood’s “Planet” explores a peculiar kind of loneliness: being with someone and feeling alone at the same. Directed by Daniel Iglesias Jr., the video turns that feeling into a world where familiar things no longer seem entirely familiar.
Ants gather over discarded food, a woman appears in inverted colours, and one unsettling image gives way to another. She performs a beautifully choreographed dance sequence, with creative movements perfectly synchronised to the music.
As the song reflects on a relationship losing its closeness, the video imagines what that separation might feel like: the world continues around you, only its logic has quietly changed.
