Jessica Shy - Pajautė | Music Video of the Week
Jessica Shy’s “Pajautė”, directed by Vilius Lukošius, unfolds through a series of striking, imaginative scenes. A woman stands amongst purple flowers surrounded by complete darkness. A scarecrow burns in an open field beneath enormous clouds, while elsewhere, two figures appear suspended underwater.
What holds these scenes together is the use of composition and lighting. Characters often occupy only a small part of the frame, with carefully placed light drawing our attention to their movements.
The video moves between these scenes without relying on a conventional story. Instead, the images function as visual metaphors. Lukošius gives each image its own space, creating a visual coherence as the settings become increasingly unexpected.
