INNELLEA - Slave To The Hype | Music Video of the Week
Innellea’s “Slave To The Hype” begins with a nightmare every artist understands: the phone rings, and his manager tells him the momentum is gone. If he wants to stay relevant, he needs to reinvent himself. Directed by Marco Fumolo, the video turns that crisis into a playful take on the pressure to stay current.
What follows is a series of attempts to become relevant again. Innellea cuts and dyes his hair blonde, adopts new moves, rolls around on Heelys and even has to prove himself behind the decks without the sync button. It is filmed and edited with a fast, punchy rhythm that gives each comedic moment its impact.
The concept works because the direction and performance are completely in sync. Marco Fumolo gives the humour its rhythm, while Innellea embraces the transformation completely, making the performance as memorable as the premise itself.
