Machine Gun Kelly - FIX UR FACE (ft. Fred Durst) | Music Video of the Week
Machine Gun Kelly’s “FIX UR FACE”, featuring Fred Durst and directed by Sam Cahill, takes the energy of a rock concert beyond the stage. The video was filmed in black and white across several cities during the Lost Americana world tour.
Sam Cahill makes creative use of vintage lenses, particularly a broadcast zoom that brings sudden changes in framing and intensity to the imagery, amplifying the song’s energy. A fisheye lens, combined with fluid gimbal movements, allows the camera to travel dynamically between subjects.
Rather than following a conventional narrative, the video repeatedly returns to Machine Gun Kelly performing with a large crowd of fans gathered behind him. The fans become part of the performance rather than simply spectators watching from a distance.
