Corella - Thunder Strike | Music Video of the Week

  • 1 min read

Corella's "Thunder Strike" begins with a simple idea and allows imagination to transform it into something much bigger. Set inside an abandoned Art Deco amphitheatre and shot on 35mm film, the video follows a couple whose connection unfolds through shifting imagery, where sound and movement reshape the world around them.

Directed by Giles Edward Nathan, the video understands that atmosphere can be just as powerful as narrative. The percussion drives the constantly evolving collage style animation, with each visual burst feeling inseparable from the music.

What makes "Thunder Strike" memorable is its ability to turn music into something tangible. Every visual shift is driven by the rhythm, drawing the audience deeper into its world. By the end, the boundaries between sound, movement and feeling have all but disappeared, leaving an experience that is as hypnotic as it is heartfelt.
