Music Video of the Week: "Brasil" by Sila Lua, directed by the duo known as La Niña.
Sila Lua’s “Brasil” takes viewers on a surreal journey into her mind, set against the rhythms of funk carioca, a genre born in Brazil’s favelas.
The video is set entirely on a bus, where Sila sings and dances, seamlessly blending everyday moments with dreamlike imagery. In one captivating scene, a giant hand reaches out, lifting her and placing her in another spot, adding an unexpected and otherworldly dimension. The visuals build in intensity, culminating in vibrant shots of her dancing in a Brazilian style, perfectly capturing the raw and celebratory energy of funk carioca.
