GENNRE Music makes a bold statement on youth and rebellion in their latest video, "Highschool Sweethearts Forever", an ode to freedom and the bittersweet thrill of growing up. Directed by Phantom Directors and Etienne Baret, the video captures a punk-spirited ride through Los Angeles.

It kicks off with a group of young adults breaking into a Beverly Hills mansion. They raid the snack cupboards, pour drinks meant for someone else’s celebration, and revel in a moment of borrowed luxury. It’s not about chaos. It’s about carving out space in a world that wasn’t made for them. From there, the video unfolds like a visual mixtape: gritty band performances in a graffiti-tagged junkyard, skate park sequences, and golden daylight at the beach.

A standout moment comes when the guitarist stands silently in front of the Hollywood sign, guitar in hand. Someone offscreen shouts, “Just smash it!” And he does, splintering the instrument. It’s a striking contrast. The polished ideal of Hollywood against the raw nature of punk rock.

GENNRE doesn’t ask permission. They show up, take the moment, and leave their mark.
