June Freedom’s “Spiritual” opens with a clear, striking image and lets it carry the weight. In an abandoned city, a wounded woman holds a glowing diamond heart, and June stands between her and the force trying to take it.
Directed by Arseni Novo and Leonel Dietsche, the video is built around contrast. The army moves with purpose, filling the frame with pressure, while June remains still, almost grounded. Visually, it leans on space and light, with VFX playing a central role. The city is stripped back, giving the images room to breathe, while the glow of the diamond heart, built through compositing and light work, slowly begins to take over.
The key choice is that it never turns into a fight. Instead, it slows down. The closer the danger gets, the more the video leans into something reflective, almost ritualistic.
It leaves you with the sense that the real change isn’t external. It’s something internal, and once it happens, everything else follows.
