In Goodnight, Farewell, Palace turn inward. The video is a quietly affecting meditation on grief and memory, told through performances, poetic imagery, and a seamless blend of original and found footage.

The story follows actress Clara Rugaard as she moves through a series of introspective moments, a performance built on subtlety rather than exposition. Her presence is felt in quiet gestures and distant stares, occupying a world where time feels slowed, blurred, and suspended.⁠

Visually, the video pairs carefully shot scenes with select archival material, as emotional counterpoints, fragments of past lives, unspoken memories, and fading moments that echo against the present. The edit never overstates, instead, it lets these images speak in their own quiet language. This sense of restraint and rhythm is what earned the video its nomination for Best Editor at the London Music Video Awards.⁠

The mood is introspective throughout, with soft, natural light and a subdued color palette that mirror the song’s emotional depth. One standout moment was the sound of a real hailstorm caught on tape just after Wyndham's final vocal line, offers an unscripted yet fitting conclusion, tying nature to the emotional release at the heart of the video.⁠
